Dear Exam candidates and Supervisors,

We have had hard situations since COVID-19 pandemic affecting our lives. The last exam planned for 2020 had to be postponed. We endeavour to plan and postponing the next exam is not an option. However, we must adjust our plans for the possible future events and prepare for any eventuality.

 What is sure:

1) The date period is confirmed, and we do not want to change it. This is 20th to 23rd of November 2021.

2) The exam will be organized for both candidates in 2020 and 2021.

What is fairly dependant on COVID-19 defence plans:

Plan 1. Most of the European citizens are vaccinated and threaten of COVID-19 is over.

The exam is planned in Toulouse. In this case the date is weekend, 20th to 21st of November.

Plan 2. Some of the European citizens could not be vaccinated and threaten of COVID-19 is not totally over but travelling by well documented and approved causes is possible.

The exam will be in multiple remote locations in different countries and at different Academic (university) institutions under the supervision of EBVS diplomates as invigilators. This requires several series of cytology and haematology slides distributed to different locations and it makes a great deal of work and organizations, although the circumstances can be equalised. In this case the date is, 20th to 21st or the 22nd and 23rd of November.

Plan 3. Most of the European citizens could not be vaccinated and/or viral mutations are breaking through the vaccination defence and threaten of COVID-19 is not over and travelling is not possible.

In case this worst situation the exam will be with entire online format. The exam will be organised by ExamSoft software which is the accepted and suggested examining software by EBVS (EBVS ExamSoft Platform). In this case the date is 22nd and 23rd of November.
